Marlene von Richthosen

Class Six

Born aboard a freight ship on the Atlantic halfway between St.Nazaire and Buenos Aires, shortly before her father was assassinated.

Father had been a translator at the German Embassy in London, and (Marlene was told later) he had found out rather too much about the peccadilloes of a senior Conservative MP, hence the attempted flight to Argentina, and its termination. Her mother died a few years later in an as yet unexplained car accident. As Marlene was a rather precocious child, it can be assumed she understood quite a bit more about the life of her parents than anyone would have suspected.

A childhood being shunted about between assorted relatives was spent in a series of schools attached to military bases, which provided a slightly erratic but extensive education in many things which would later found to be useful in the LCPS. It came to an abrupt end when a bomb destroyed her uncle’s staff car.  Fearing that Marlene was the true target, her uncle sent her to LCPS for safety. However, the fact that Marlene was decidedly pleased to get rid of the permanent supervision by her aunts and uncles could lead to the suspicion that the creator of the bomb was a bit closer to home…

Marlene was among a group of students, who reacted strongly against the ‘decadent’ attitude of the burgeoning Punk gang, by adopting a strongly militaristic dress style and behaviour.  Marlene has risen through the ranks, and has recently achieved the leadership through a coup (or a putsch) organised with the connivance of her friend Shields.

She sums up the Blue Brigade purpose as ‘putting things right’, and considers herself to be ‘misunderstood’. In a “Weltschmerz” mood, she will listen to hours of songs about death and disaster from the early 1960s, only to emerge about 10 times as ruthless as before.

After leaving school, she wants to join Torchwood and hunt aliens. If I was Captain Jack, I would fear for my coat.

Badge colour is red (her personal comment is “death wish, anyone?)
