Mercia Woods is the daughter of Leia-Ann and Charlie Woods, the well known gangster mob of South London.  The Woods family has ruled South London with an iron rod for many years and were well established at the time of Mercia's birth.  Leia-Ann has done her best to keep her daughter away from the darker side of family life, but believes she must at least be able to stand up for herself and understand the family "business", so has decided to enroll her at the LCPS, since Roedean was doing her girl no good at all!

Leia-Ann Woods is currently serving time in the prison Bars and Stripes (www.bars-and-stripes.com), but has so far managed to keep the knowledge of her daughter's existence away from the Guards (give them nothing to throw at you is Mrs Woods motto), while getting her solicitor on the case for a much needed appeal if she is to see her daughter soon.  With Charlie also inside, Mercia spends the school holidays with Charlie's brother, Ronnie...who has a penchant with a knife...
