Started in 1988 as a reaction against Old School. ‘New School’s Cool’. The New Alternative LCPS uniform had far greater potential for adaptation towards sexy, and the first New Schoolers went for this big style.

The New School mindset is uncomplicated and bordering on naïve amid the fucked up ethoses of the rest, but there’s a strong back-watching camaraderie with very little superfluous machismo.

New School’s real coup was cornering the chocolate racket early on; they have a long standing agreement with a nearby newsagent and do a good business in Yorkies, Cadburys Crème Eggs, and (for especially favoured clients) Chocolate Hob-Nobs.

As more gangs evolved, New School realised they had rather more in common with Old School than they first imagined, and there is now an uneasy understanding. New School see making enemies as ‘uncool’ and they get on reasonably well with Heavy and Punk, even Sharp Set at a big push, but they tend to get targeted by Blue Brigade, who they hate as a result, and once they get their democratic act together, they can hit back with impressive efficiency.

They just prefer not to.
