Rosalee Reade

Class 3

Rosalee was adopted at a very early age by the nuns of St Theda of the Stab Wound’s Correctional Convent for Wayward Young Ladies.  ‘A spanking a day keeps the devil away’ was the convent motto.  Whilst the Mother Superior was a little concerned by young Rosalee’s somewhat unwholesome and over enthusiastic attitude to this, she was willing to overlook it.  However, doing something really bad to one of the altar cloths was a step too far.  Chewing gum is a devil to get out and Rosalee had to go.  The nuns felt the LCPS might be a better place for her.  It may not offer the spiritual guidance of the convent but at least it would keep her out of the way and hopefully out of mischief for a few more years.

So now she's stuck in this oh so terrible school with nasty gangs roaming the corridors during break times.  She's in a gang herself (New School) that she rather sort of wandered into by accident, which is often the way with Rosalee.  She hates school and doesn’t want to wear a silly uniform.  However she really does try very, very hard to be good at least some of the time but the truth is she’s just not very good at being good.  She’s much better at being bad.  She has a problem with her mouth sometimes.  It has a tendency to run away with itself and get her in to no end of trouble.  Funnily enough she never usually seems all that concerned by the kind of trouble it gets her into.  She's not terribly realistic as she's currently saving up her (non-existent) pocket money to buy a boat, having been inspired as a young child by The Ladybird Book of Pirates (she firmly believes the pirate Mary Reade to be her ancestor).  She can see no contradiction between her desire to be a good, sweet girl and her openly declared interest in being a pirate, a kidnapper or a bank robber when she leaves school.   They all sound like good career options to her.
